I've been the president and CEO of Christian Leadership Alliance, headquartered in San Clemente, CA, since January 2012. My professional career includes executive leadership experience in the technology, marketing, publishing, and retail industries. I served as a partner in The A Group – Brand Development, executive vice president and chief publishing officer for Thomas Nelson Publishers, and the president of Borders, Inc.
After graduating from Purdue University, I entered the management-training program at Federated Department Stores and continued to serve in various leadership roles until leaving in 1996. At the time of my departure, I was responsible for the operations of both the LAZARUS and Goldsmith’s chains.
In 2001, I was certified in for-profit board governance through The Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. I was active on profit boards. My nonprofit board experience includes serving on the boards of EQUIP, Lead Like Jesus, Christian Alliance for Orphans, and Growing Leaders. Christianity Today, and Christian Leadership Alliance. I completed the Christian Credentialed Nonprofit Leader (CCNL) program in 2013. Since earning my CCNL, I now facilitate the online CCNL-Leadership Course, along with the Lead Like Jesus modules.
My husband, Dale, and I delight in our family and are actively involved in ministry at Long Hollow Baptist Church in Hendersonville, TN. Since 2010, we have been leading discipleship mission teams in Haiti. And through that experience, God called us to adopt the youngest daughter, Sania. We are blessed with two daughters and two amazing grandsons.
